WH Bence have completed the manufacture of a duo of mobile retinal screening trailers for Bristol Eye Hospital.
The trailers, commissioned by University Hospitals of Bristol NHS Trust are being deployed to more rural areas of Bristol and South Gloucestershire to cope with the growing number of patients who require diabetic retinopathy screening.
The trailers comprise of a bright and airy waiting area, a suite of clinical consulting rooms and a treatment room. The trailers can be moved by standard tractor unit and can therefore be deployed to a number of sites in the South West, assisting patients who may have limited vision and therefore prefer not to travel to a central hospital location.
