The first Toshiba Demountable MRI unit that WH Bence have built took centre stage at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, and was situated at the Athletes Village.
The unit was declared open by Tessa Sanderson at a ceremony at the unit, and it was received to wide acclaim by both the NHS and private medical companies.
The unit, “Elan I” has now been moved from Glasgow to its first permanent home at St Luke’s Hospital in Bradford.
A further unit, “Elan II” has been manufactured and is currently situated at St Joseph’s Hospital in Newport, and a third unit is currently under construction here at WH Bence.
Bence are also delighted to announce that they will be partnering with Toshiba in the manufacture of two transportable CT units due to be completed in early 2015. Keep watching our news space for further information and photographs of the units in-build.
