About us.

From the Company’s inception in 1983, we have looked to innovate and create bespoke mobile spaces for the variety of customers we meet on a day to day basis.  The Company, started by James Brown now company chairman, created the first RAC recovery vehicles which set in motion the redesign and reinvention of the recovery services across the UK.  Over the last 30 years the Company has developed a variety of products through medical, motor racing and emergency services customer bases, allowing us to expand our product range to incorporate all types of customer vehicles.

In 2000 Bence Service was born, helping to support customer vehicles in difficult mobile situations.  Many NHS Trust customers had limited onsite support when providing mobile medical facilities in the field.  The Bence Service department offers a 24/7 emergency support service, along with regular preventative maintenance visits which are incorporated into a fixed price service contract offering warranty up to 10 years.

The Company, over the last 10 years has expanded considerably, incorporate the latest mobile medical accreditations from Siemens and Canon for CT and MRI mobile installations.   WH Bence are UK’s only MRI accredited supplier for Siemens and Philips for mobile MRI trailers and with the Bence innovation we are able to offer a variety of options which were previously not available to our medical customers.  Incorporating mobile medical facilities which provided sufficient space for a variety of medical procedures not possible on standard mobile facilities.  These are demonstrated within our gallery and case studies.

In 2015 Bence Command was launched, after successfully being the winner of the HART Command and Control Unit project, providing the latest front line command units for emergency services customers.  This created a department capable of providing the latest connectivity including satellite, 4G and 5G, as well as creating bespoke command centre installs incorporating all of the necessary facilities from large scale display monitors to live action footage from body worn cameras on the incident ground.  In 2018 we were awarded the Small Cell Award for our Private LTE Network, developed for the emergency services to provide incident wide, uninterrupted communications for both audio and visual capabilities.

Our development of the technology arm of the business also lead to our partnership with DEOS Europe, providing the first fully integrated paper light image transfer solution for mobile medical vehicles for not only breast screening but full diagnostic imaging.  This service removed the paperwork heavy elements of day to day life, making the mobiles more efficient and also providing a safer environment for patient data transfer.

In 2018 we launched Bence Creative, helping to complete the final finishes of the vehicle with digital print exterior vehicle wraps and interior back lit imagery. This allowed us to expand our patient comfort range with the option of interactive displays.  Bence Creative also offers branding and signage capability for all aspects of the vehicles and also static sites for many of our customers helping to co-ordinate the design and brand across the whole company.
